This innovative new process uses an organic tanning agent. At the end of the process the tanned leather and waste water from the tanneries are free of heavy metal. There is a significant reduction in water usage during the production of chrome-free leather and a saving of energy due the shorter length of time. Chrome-Free leather labels doesn’t include any heavy metals, aluminum salts, or chrome.
